DCM is based on the insight that when firms begin to experience financial distress, they triage their payables and general obligations to vendors, partners and other stakeholders. This in turn creates a paper trail in the form of certain specific types of court cases and lien filings that immediately emerge into the public domain.
Those records become leading indicators of the underlying financial distress and, uniquely, have the effect of piercing the veil of secrecy generally surrounding the true financial condition of private companies. We don't look at bankruptcies, defaults, FDIC take-overs or other trailing indicators of distress; many if not most of the companies experiencing those events either can't be saved or don't have any money left to pay third-party service providers.
Rather, DCM focuses solely on the leading indicators of distress, capturing them as soon as the information is made available to the general public. We then enrich the names therein with critical company information such as key contacts, address, telephone, revenues, employees, and SIC code/industry and export that information to a convenient MS Excel spreadsheet every business day. This broad set of information allows us to fully customize the end product so that you receive, and pay for, only the leads that fit your business model.
